ESL One powered by Intel® opens its doors again this year in Hamburg for the largest Dota 2 festival in Europe

For the third consecutive time, Hamburg will be the world’s capital for thousands of Dota 2 fans in the Barclaycard Arena and for millions online in front of their screens from October 25-27. During a total of six tournament days and kicking off on October 22, the 12 world’s best Dota 2 teams will play for the majority of a packed $US300,000 prize pool.

The 12 best Dota 2 teams will be divided into two groups of six teams, who will battle it out in a round-robin best-of-two group stage, determining the top eight teams. Starting with the quarter-finals, teams will play live in the Barclaycard Arena aiming to enter the final on the last day of the tournament.

“This year the focus is especially on offering the passionate community an ultimate Dota 2 fan experience by transforming the Barclaycard Arena in Hamburg into the gateway to the world of esports,” said Ulrich Schulze Senior Vice President of Product at ESL.

ESL One Hamburg 2019 will continue pursuing Dota 2 legacy that has been established in June 2014 by three previous editions of the event held at the Commerzbank Arena in Frankfurt and two at the Barclaycard Arena in Hamburg. Ever since, the world’s best Dota 2 teams fought throughout the years to not only win the packed prize pools, but also the prestigious ESL One title. Europe’s largest Dota 2 festival was born: ESL One, which has attracted more than 100,000 visitors to iconic venues in Europe, North America, and Asia has become an important part within the community.

In addition, fans of ESL One can expect a brand new  Artist’s Alley, where they can become an active part in the magical world of Dota 2. The Artist’s Alley will feature signing sessions with teams, interactive workshops and the already well established cosplay contest. Some of the most impressive cosplay creations will be presented in front of the crowd and evaluated by a professional jury.

Tickets for ESL One Hamburg will be available from Saturday, May 25th via Eventim and Eventbrite and will range in price between 39€ and 2999€. More information can be found on the official event website. To stay up to date check out ESL Dota 2 on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram.
