DreamHack Summer to Present Live Music Concerts, Cosplay Championship and Parade, 2.1 Million SEK LAN Tournaments, and More

Live Music Concerts to Include headliners LNY TNZ and Pat B, as well as Mange Makers, Among Others

STOCKHOLM — DreamHack, an ESL FACEIT Group brand, today announced additional content featured at its DreamHack Summer festival in Jönköping, Sweden, on June 18-21, 2022. The content includes all live-music acts, the lineup of games included in the 2.1 million SEK LAN tournaments, details around the all-new Creators Hub, and additional esports.

Cosplay Championship and Parade

DreamHack Summer will feature the DreamHack Cosplay Championship,which will take place on Monday, June 20, including the categories Best Craftsmanship, Best Performance, and Best Cosplay. A total prize pool of 25,000 SEK is up for grabs, plus a Golden Ticket to the Qualifier for the Swedish Cosplay Championship. 

Two days before the Cosplay Championship, ahead of the opening ceremony of DreamHack Summer, a Cosplay Parade will take place in collaboration with Jönköping — City of DreamHack. A bus will take the cosplayers to central Jönköping for a 45-minute parade, after which they will return back to the venue.

Live Music – DreamHack Style

This summer’s festival will feature six music performances live on the main stage, spread across Saturday and Sunday evenings. Openers on Saturday, June 18, are Mange Makers at 10pm CEST, followed by Günther at 11pm CEST and the main act, LNY TNZ, at midnight. The next day, Sunday, June 19, will be DreamHack festival favorite Altego who will take the stage at 9pm CEST, followed by Lov1 at 10pm, DJs from Mars at 11pm, and ending with the main act, Pat B, at midnight. Meet and Learn from Favorite Creators at the Creators Hub

Creatorhub is an activity area where the creators are in focus. Over 100 creators are expected to be part of the creator hub with experiences including: Education on how to stream in the creator lab by creators; See creators stream from the stream studio; fun IRL activities with creators inside the creator Arena; autographs; talk with creators at the Meet and Greet stage.

LAN Tournaments

The LAN area at DreamHack Summer is where people bring their own computers to play games, watch their favorite streamers, and have a fun weekend – together with new or old friends, or on their own. The area also features a number of LAN tournaments, essentially esports competitions for anyone with a LAN ticket to participate in. A total prize pool of a massive 2,120,000 SEK is up for grabs in game titles such as Fortnite, Rocket League, League of Legends, Valorant, and more. Activities for Everyone

DreamHack Summer holds a number of activities open to anyone with either a festival ticket or a LAN ticket. This includes a Freeplay area, which will feature daily tournaments. There will also be challenges with a chance to win coins for the DreamHack Wheel

Festival attendees earn coins through participating in events and challenges that can be traded for a spin of the DreamHack Wheel. This wheel will hold a number of exciting prizes, provided by DreamHack partners, and can include such items as gaming chairs, computer components, gaming gear, merchandise, and more.
